"Stained Lino" Postcard #3

Okay, so this is my third postcard, working on my gesso resist theme...yes, this had a lime green background to begin too...I am really happy with how this one turned out. The "lino" in the background ended up with such nice texture all because i couldn't find my masking tape and decided to use electrical tape instead...which in turn bled and ripped up previous layers! Yay for accidental discoveries!

This one i have entitled "Stained lino"...with the added note of:

"She wondered how she was going to get the blood-stains off the lino before her husband came home from work..."

Fun!

"Thai" Postcard #2

Okay, so this isnt actually my first postcard, i made one before this, but i got so excited at the result that I ran out and posted it before I scanned it ...lol.
I am working on a method of resist this week (gesso resist basically) that I am applying to 4 different postcards...All the postcards started with the same background glaze (lime green) on a jumbo playing card, but from there they are totally different.

This one I have just called "Thai"...not very creative this morning...The colours arent my favorite, but the technique worked well (in my opinion anyway).
